2 - 6oz salmon fillets
4 Tbsp Barbecue Sauce
2 Tbsp Bourbon or Whiskey
1 clove garlic chopped
Now, I mixed Jack Daniels Barbecue sauce with Wild Turkey. I probably should have stuck with Jack Daniels whiskey, but this was all I had. Shhh.... Don't tell the Jack Daniels people.
Mix the sauce, whiskey and garlic and brush over the salmon fillets. Wrap each fillet in foil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
That's it! Easy and tasty. People ask me all the time if cooking with bourbon, whiskey, wine etc makes the food taste like too much alcohol. The answer is no. I find it gives good flavor, however the strength of the alcohol flavor is cooked out of it leaving a sweet tangy sauce that complimented the fish very well
I had mine with sliced beefsteak tomatoes. Perfect light summertime dinner.
Wishing you a peaceful Memorial Day Weekend and thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday.
