ReUsies Review and Giveaway

I hate waste. I use reusable grocery bags, recycle anything I can, mill my own flour as I need it etc. Imagine how happy I am to be able to review ReUsies sandwich and snack bags. By using these, I'm eliminating the purchase and waste of plastic sandwich and snack bags, no to mention that I now pack my lunches in colorful reusable bags. I can see Mother Nature doing the happy dance now.

About ReUsies:
ReUsies™ are a re-usable alternative to sandwich and snack bags. Each one has the potential to eliminate hundreds of plastic bags. ReUsies™ are 100% cotton lined with leak-resistant nylon and are secured with hook and loop closures. They are easy to clean either by hand, dishwasher, or washer and dryer. Food safe and come in a variety of prints for any member of the household.

Reusies come in two sizes and they are FDA approved.

Snack: approx. 6” w / 5” h
The snack size holds a half sandwich or whole sandwich with the crust cut off! It is good for smaller quantities of crackers, pretzels, apple slices, etc.

Sandwich: approx. 7.5” w/ 6”h
The sandwich size holds a typical "grown up"- sized sandwich, full bagel, or larger quantity of snacks.

Care Instructions
ReUsies™ can be machine washed and dried, washed in the dishwasher, or for longest life simply wiped clean with a soapy sponge and air dried, which is what I did. It was an easy clean up and it air dried in a jiff.  The inside is a smooth plastic vinyl type material that makes cleaning a breeze.

Velcro Closure

I love the vibrant colors of the turquoise, orange and yellow. The circular pattern on the flap is quite eye catching too. The velcro closure on the flap was solid and held the bag together well. There is also another velcro strip on the back so if you pack a small amount of snacks, you can wrap the flap all the way around to the back and seal it up nicely.

My first-time use was with my Fritos. I love Fritos and I put a bunch in the sandwich sized Reusie and wrapped it all the way around to keep my tasty chips snug and secure. Nothing worse then using a regular sanwich bag and having the chips fall out. Add to the fact that Fritos can be quite greasy and stain the napkin you set them on. With ReUsies, the inner white plastic-type lining was an easy clean up and left to "frito residue."

ReUsies are portable and easy to use. I pack myself a sandwich, chips, carrot sticks and crackers, wrap up the bag and go. The many colors and patterns that are available are awesome and there is something to please any family member. So with ReUsies you can "go green" and still be fashionable.
