Once again, I am blessed with an opportunity to review a Christian Children's book. This one has a catchy title and has a great message to tell our kids. "Hey God, I've Got Some Guy Named Jonah in my Stomach and I Think I'm Gonna Throw Up!" is a rather long title for a children's book, but it will grab a kids attention and make him or her curious. I sure was. In the end, I found this to be a cute story with a great message.
This is a very cute book. It is narrated by the whale that
swallowed Jonah. It tells his side of the story of how Jonah got in his stomach
in the first place and what happened over the course of three days. Beautifully illustrated and charming, this book will surely capture the attention of your children (and some adults too!). Although it
is a Bible lesson aimed at young children, the story itself is cute and has
situations children will relate to. In the end, it teaches children to trust in
God even if it’s in a situation you do not like.
At the very back, it has a “Parent Connection” activity.
There are questions to ask your little one and an activity where the child gets
to play the part of Jonah. It’s really cute and I think it’s a great lesson.
