You ever have those days where you just can't get going? I do, and usually I drink lots of water and coffee to jump start my energy level. But, what happens if you're on the go with no time to stop at Starbucks? That's where Outburst Energy Bites come in. I was offered a sampler pack of the three flavors; Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut and Chocolate Mint to try out and review.
Product Description
With three varieties including Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut, and Chocolate Mint, Outburst Energy Bites taste great and appeal to a diverse group of consumers, including college and graduate students, busy moms on the go, entrepreneurs, professionals, and athletes, who all need extra caffeine to get them through the day. Outburst Energy Bites are a great vehicle for people seeking to reduce coffee and soda intake with a portable and inexpensive alternative. Outburst Energy Bites can also provide a bigger caffeine boost than popular non-diet sodas or blended coffee drinks with just a fraction of the sugar and calories. Energy Bites provides a sweet way to get a caffeine fix as a unique alternative to energy drinks, energy shots, energy bars and expensive blended coffee drinks.
Outburst Energy Bites will provide one Sampler Set to each reviewer. Each Sampler Set contains a one box of each of Chocolate, Chocolate Mint and Chocolate Peanut Outburst Energy Bites. Four Outburst Energy Bites (one serving) is equivalent to the caffeine content in one energy drink, one energy shot or one cup of coffee. Each variety of Outburst Energy Bites comes in a convenient flip-top box with approximately three servings (12 Outburst Energy Bites) in each. Each Energy Bite contains less than 12 calories.
My thoughts
I was sent a sampler pack of all three flavors. They are 12 per pack and the box has a convenient flip up top which makes for one-handed opening if you're super busy.
The product says there are less then 12 calories per bite. The energy conversion chart on the box says that 4 bites equal one cup of coffee. So 48 calories for the same energy as a cup of coffee? I'll take it!
The first time I tried it, I tried the Chocolate Peanut. It has a crunchy shell with chocolate flavor and a peanut on the inside. It looks like a yellow peanut M&M but be warned! This is not candy and the company does not promote it as such, so therefore, these are NOT intended for children. The Chocolate Peanut bites gave me the boost I needed for that mid afternoon energy slump. You know what I'm talking about... and with these, it also helped me stay away from the dreaded vending machine AND I completed my project in time.
The other two flavors (Chocolate and Chocolate Mint) were also tasty but the Chocolate Peanut is by far my favorite. So for a quick, tasty boost I recommend Outburst.
