Pouchee Purse Organizer Review and Giveaway

The Pouchee story started when the founder received a huge bag for Christmas in 2004 and she was sure she would never use it because it was just a big bag with no pockets. All her stuff would go into the "black hole" of a large bag. The Pouchee idea was born from that holiday and has been growing leaps and bounds ever since.

The Pouchee purse organizer is so convenient and versatile and there is a color and style for everyone. I was given the Grape Cotton Pouchee Purse Organizer to review. First of all, purple is one of my favorite colors ever! And what a pretty purple it is.

The Pouchee that I received is just the right size , with dimension of 7.5" x 5.25" x  3.5 making it a great fit into any purse, It is designed with pockets on one side to hold money, credit cards and business cards.

And the other side can hold a pen, lip gloss and your cell phone. And, this gives added protection to your fragile iPhone too.

The inside also has plenty of room for wallets, sunglasses, your hubby's items (since we all know they like to put items in your purse to carry) among other things.

The best thing about Pouchee is it makes changing purses a snap. No longer do you need to take everything out, then reorganize it in your new spring bag. You can just take the entire Pouchee out and place it in the new bag and go. Even though my purple Pouchee will not match my new orange purse, it does not matter. It sits inside the new bag with all my items at my fingertips. And, if I'm going to church and carrying my Church bag, it easily pops in there. How convenient!

My thoughts
With it's cute little heart shape, it was just in time for Valentines Day. It has a sponge side and a scrubber side infused with a blend of fragrances that are not too perfumy and not too strong. I usually do not like strong scents for my body wash and this was just right in my book. The spongelle was very sudsy and the scrubber side was not too harsh for my sensitive skin.  The heart shape fit easily in my hand and was easy to hold on to.

The scent filled the room but it was not overpowering. It wasn't an odd scent, just one of a floral nature that left a smile on my face. It left me relaxed and invigorated at the same time. This would make a perfect Valentines Day gift!

Veri Peri Review, Giveaway and Salmon Recipe

Veri Peri is Saucy!

I love a good sauce. I have one shelf in my pantry devoted to all the sauces, condiments, marinades and dressings that I find while out shopping. This does not include what is in the fridge etiher. I was recently blessed with the opportunity to try out Veri Peri cooking sauces. Veri Peri is manufactured in South Africa by a company called "All Joy" and is available in five flavors: Lemon and Herb, Garlic, Mild, Hot and Veri Hot. The heat level ranges from 1-10 so there is a sauce here for anyone. All varieties are gluten-free, dairy-free and low carb, and contain the African Bird's Eye Chili.

Mouthwatering would be a accurate description of each variety. These sauces are infused with flavors that compliment just about any dish. The first one I tried was the Lemon and Herb on salmon.

 

I prefer to grill salmon on the barbeque, however with about 4 inches of snow on the ground, that didn't sound too appealing so I opted to bake my fish. I poured some of the Lemon and Herb over my salmon, added a few capers for that tart taste and wrapped it in foil. Depending on how big your salmon steak is, bake it at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. I use a meat thermometer to ensure it's cooked all the way through and the fish came out moist and delicious. The Lemon and Herb was the right compliment to the salmon. It was not the type of lemon flavor that gives you the sour-face pucker, it did have punch of lemon that was not at all overpowering. I think this sauce would compliment any type of fish, shellfish or chicken. I would love to try it next on shrimp and veggie kabobs... when the snow leaves of course.

The next one I tried was the garlic and as you readers know, I sure do love my garlic. This time I mixed it in my hamburger meat for burger night. My hubby went out in the snow and grilled them for me because as we all know, the best burgers are grilled, not fried. The burger was juicy and had that garlic flavor that I crave. I think this would make a great marinade for steak as well.

Veri Peri is not just for cooking. You can also add Veri Peri to dips to give them a bit of kick or even use it as a marinade for your favorite meat or fish. This sauce is versitile and there is something there for everyone's tast buds.

I received this book recently for a review. As you readers know, I'm a big fan of Christian books and read both fiction and non-fiction books by various authors. I was quite excited to read this book since the author speaks of the goodness of Jesus, holiness in stubborn places and the relief from burdens, addictions and heartache.

This was the first time I have read a book by John Eldredge but I have read many good reviews across the Internet. The book is written in two parts; "The Surprise of Holiness" and "The Way to Holiness." The first part focuses on being set free and Jesus goodness among other topics. The second talks abut how to get there. Each chapter within these parts has a powerful message that will really speak to you. 

Here is a quote that got me: "Jesus can heal what has gone wrong inside each and every one of us. He does this by imparting to us His goodness. God makes us whole by making us holy, He makes us holy by making us whole." Wow. 

Sprinkled with scripture and Biblical examples throughout, John talks about how freeing it would be to be released from the bondage of things like jealousy, anger and addiction. As the book says "it would be an utter relief. An absolute utter relief."

I believe most of you readers would enjoy reading this book. At the end of the is a daily prayer of gratitude to Jesus.

My Thoughts

My thoughts
I was sent a sampler pack of all three flavors. They are 12 per pack and the box has a convenient flip up top which makes for one-handed opening if you're super busy.

The product says there are less then 12 calories per bite. The energy conversion chart on the box says that 4 bites equal one cup of coffee. So 48 calories for the same energy as a cup of coffee? I'll take it!

The first time I tried it, I tried the Chocolate Peanut. It has a crunchy shell with chocolate flavor and a peanut on the inside. It looks like a yellow peanut M&M but be warned! This is not candy and the company does not promote it as such, so therefore, these are NOT intended for children. The Chocolate Peanut bites gave me the boost I needed for that mid afternoon energy slump. You know what I'm talking about... and with these, it also helped me stay away from the dreaded vending machine AND I completed my project in time.

The other two flavors (Chocolate and Chocolate Mint) were also tasty but the Chocolate Peanut is by far my favorite. So for a quick, tasty boost I recommend Outburst.
