Here is a brief summary of this eBook:
Pinterest, though rhyming with interest, is only loosely related! Basically, it’s a virtual pinboard just like the corkboards we had in our rooms as kids and you may still have in your home or office. Pinterest is a social networking site that allows users to create photo collections online – like online, upscale scrapbooking. It is primarily a photo sharing website where the members are allowed to create albums pertaining to a certain theme or pattern.
Over a very short period of time, Pinterest has become one of the leading social media networks. Fairly recently, given that it launched in early 2010, the site has grown in leaps and bounds and is viewed as a strong competitor to the older social media networking websites. At present, the website attracts over 11 million visits each week, placing it among the top 10 social networks.
Over the past few years, businesses have been using social media websites for promoting and boosting their businesses. The same is the case with Pinterest. You might be wondering how a photo sharing website can help your business become a success.
This book is intended to be a guide for using Pinterest to strengthen your business and brand.

My thoughts:
As I said above, I am a new Pinterest user, I joined about a month ago. I have so much to learn! Pinterest is growing by leaps and bounds. As Kim states in her ebook, in the past six months, Pinterest has grown by 4000% and receives approximately 11 million visitors a week. WOW! Those numbers are phenominal! I find more and more references to Pinterest when ever I am online, whether reading blogs or shopping or researching recipes. When I first created my boards, I was a bit at a loss since this form of social media uses pictures to communicate rather then words like on Facebook and Twitter, which is what I'm most familiar with. It took me some getting used to, but as I have used Pinterest more, I find it very user friendly and easy to navigate.
Kim's ebook gives you step by step instructions on how to create your boards, build them and get yourself noticed. She uses screen shots to illustrate what she is saying making it easy for you to follow along and set up your own boards. She walks you through pinning, re-pinning, adding links, referencing other users and tracking your own traffic. For a start-up business or even an established one, Kim's ebook will help build your social media presence and help your business grow.
