Check out @TheBlogWorkshop Online Conference & Workshop

I received the opportunity to attend this conference for free from The Blog Workshop. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

I previously posted about The Blog Workshop describing the website and the amazing features for bloggers, both new bloggers and experienced blogging veterans. The 3-day conference is presented by Your Life After 25, hosted by the energetic and gracious Da Vinci and is packed full of information, resources and  and practical advice.

Sponsored by some of the finest online companies around, the conference was chalk full of information from the basics to detailed information on all things bloggy.

Through Sverve, I was given the opportunity to attend the conference in my own home via my laptop. The conference was live May 17-19, 2013 and spanned over the course of three evenings, which is great for busy moms or full time workers who cannot attend a daytime event.

Here is the agenda:
Talk about a wealth of information. WOW!!! There is something for all bloggers and vloggers here! For me running a food blog, this was like having every kitchen gadget in my cupboards so that I can create a meal to die for. Now my blog will have every gadget it needs too!!

The speakers are from all over the blogesphere and their knowledge is amazing. It was a goldmine of speakers!!
These speakers were from other blogs and companies I was very familiar with.
There was a down loadable workbook associated with the online conference so I printed the whole thing so I can take tons of notes. What a great way to organize your notes AND your thoughts while listening to the conference speakers. I'm very old school and take lots of notes when I'm at a workshop or watching a webinar. This workbook was just what I needed to stay on track.

I can easily write about every topic presented, but I'll keep it to one or two main things that were valuable for me. One main take away for me was the section on finances and taxes. Taxes! UGH! This isn't the fun stuff we love to talk about, but if you are running your blog as a business, it's a must. The speaker, Kelly Whalen, provided a wealth of knowledge and I was furiously writing things down in my workbook as she was talking. She is not a financial advisor and suggested you speak with your own CPA or advisor, however her information was vital to me.  She offered a lot of practical advice.

My other favorite parts were about ads, affiliate marketing and pitching sponsors. The three speakers covering this topic tell you what you need to know in order to prepare for this. If you are looking to monetize your blog, this section will help you get there. The section gives tips on the working releationship between bloggers and brands and the value each brings to the other. "Don't just build an audience, build a community." Think big! Be an influencer! Embrace it!

Bummed that you missed out on the conference in May?  Well don't be… you still have a chance to attend because it was recorded!!  Whoopie, happy dance!!!  You can "attend" by signing up to have access to all the recordings, the workbook and the resources to make your blog soar to new heights. It's a small investment of $175 and it's worth every penny. Put all the great info into practice and your investment will seem like a pittance compared to what you get in return.

You can sign up for membership at The Blog Workshop by clicking the photo below. Membership has various levels so you can pick the one for you. Memberships include admission to the conference nest year, admission to the workshops and other discounts. Click the link below for all the details.
The Blog Workshop has the Lela affiliate store plug-in where you can earn money and $5 will be donated to Wellspring Living and the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children.  So not only does TBW help you, but it also gives back. That means a lot to me.

Wellspring Living's mission is to confront the issue of childhood sexual abuse and exploitation through awareness, training, and treatment programs for women and girls.

Atlanta Day Shelter's mission is to ease the burden of homelessness for women and children and to assist in establishing self-sufficiency by providing comprehensive education and supportive services in a manner that respects human dignity.

And do not forget the monthly workshops! #TBWC also has monthly workshops. Last month it covered SEO. The upcoming workshop on Blogging Laws is scheduled for July 24th. Check out the video for more information.

Is your brain fried yet?  Stay connected by liking TBW on  Facebook or you can follow tweets on Twitter And check out their pins on Pinterest. Stay connected and get all the tips and information you can soak in to take your blog to new heights.
