2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 large clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper
2 - 6 ounce thin beef steaks
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon corn starch
1 Tablespoon heavy cream
Melt the butter and oil in a deep saucepan and saute the garlic until fragrant. Salt and pepper the steaks, then place them in the pan and cook on medium high heat until the steaks are a bit pink in the middle. This will depend on how thin your steaks are and how "done" you want them.
Add the corn starch to the juices in the pan and cook until thickened. Add the cream and stir until mixed. Serve this with your favorite veggie and pasta.
