About the Author

Travis Thrasher is the author of more than a dozen works of fiction, including The Solitary Tales series, Isolation, and Ghostwriter. His writing is known for its honesty, depth, and surprising twists. Thrasher lives with his wife and daughters in Chicago.

My Thoughts
This book is incredible. The road taken by the main charactor, Cory Brand, is one that starts out totally focused on himself and his career then takes him on a path of self discovery. He has once incident that changes his life and forces him to go back home and face the demons he has been running from his entire life.

After an incident on the field, Cory is suspended and ordered to coach a little league team and to attend 8 weeks of a recovery program. He figures he can breeze through the 8 weeks, do his time and move on. But, as time passes, he comes to grips with his addiction and mends fences with his family. After hearing other members testimonies during his Celebrate Recovery meetings, he learns that he is not alone in his struggles, God is there with him and through His strengh, Cory can be reborn.

I love this book and can't wait to see the movie coming out on April 19th. I'm excited to see the charactors come to life on the big screen. This was a "can't put it down" type book for me and I finished it in a couple of days.
