Maple Carrots

Maple Carrots
Looking for an easy fresh carrot recipe? Look no further then right here. This recipe takes four large carrots, adds the sweetness of maple syrup and makes a perfect side dish for ham or chicken

Ingredients
4 large carrots, peeled and sliced
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
2 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Splash of whiskey

Directions
Slice the carrots. Then steam them in the microwave for 2 minutes, set aside.

In a small saucepan, combine the rest of the ingredients until just about boiling.

Add the carrots and simmer for 5 minutes. You don't want to over simmer them otherwise they become mushy. I like having a nice crunch to my cooked carrots.
Ham Side Dish
See how easy that was? Simple yet tasty way to serve carrots that even your kids would love. But, I'd delete the whiskey ingredient if you're serving this to kids.

  2. These look and sound really good. I have a bag of baby carrots I need to use and I think I'll make them this way tonight.
